Course will cover:

• – Fundamentals of Robotics
• – Different types of Mechanisms:
• •  > Gear Arrangements: Spur, Bevel and Worm Gears, Rack and Pinion
  •  > Chain & Sprocket, Linkages
  •  > Motorized Mechanisms
  •  > Mechanisms as combination of Gears, Sprocket-Chain and Linkages
• – Building Basic Structures for Robots
• – Principles of Robot Navigation using Differentially Driven Robots
• •  > Straight Motion
  •  > Turns about Geometric Center, about differential wheel and gradual turn
  •  > Improve Robot Path Accuracy
• – Introduction to Lego Spike Prime and Mindstorm programming
• •  > Programming Basics
  •  > Calibration: Straight Motion
  •  > Calibration: Turns
  •  > Path Planning Strategies

Kids enrolling in this class will understand the basic concepts to be able to self-direct and build robots and attachments and compete at the entry level in the First Lego League and other local and national robotics leagues.
